Estimate line current from active power in kW or apparent power in kVA. Choose single-phase or balanced three-phase and review the exact formula used.

Use and limitations: This tool assumes a balanced three-phase load where three-phase is selected. A kW input is treated as electrical input power; convert from mechanical output power separately where efficiency is relevant. It does not select cables or protective devices, or verify voltage drop, fault protection, harmonics, starting current, diversity or compliance. Check the input data and complete the project-specific design using the applicable standards and manufacturer information.
